Eric left his everyday job in marketing in 2009 with the deep conviction that he could just create a successful game. He started in the game industry painting miniatures. From there, he played games and used that as a basis for his knowledge of creating the miniatures game, Malifaux, the first card-based minis game. Over the next several years, Malifaux has grown, including the release of a 2nd edition of rules. The staff working with Eric has grown from none (although that doesn’t include the many dedicated volunteers), to 2, to a current team of 4.
Eric directed the Wyrd development team in the creation of Evil Baby Orphanage, with the cooperation of the Vlog Brothers, and on the Malifaux-based RPG, Through the Breach, in addition to several other games. Currently, Eric is working on Wizard School, a cooperative card game, with Hank Green.
Having spent several years in the game industry, Eric has experienced the highs and lows as well as met many interesting people and learned a lot. Also, as you can see from the photo, he’s a super manly-man who does quite a bit of home improvement work, and only occasionally hurts himself.

About Drawn by Clouds
Drawn by Clouds was founded in 2013 to create app games. The dedicated team of co-founders at Drawn by Clouds has been working hard since that time to make their dream of a super-fun RPG a reality.
Wyrd Miniatures was founded in 2005 as a miniatures company focused on creating cool minis for painters. After a few years, the miniatures skirmish game, Malifaux, was created. Malifaux uses a card-based mechanic.
Wyrd has gone on to develop Puppet Wars, Evil Baby Orphanage (with cooperation from the Vlog Brothers), Through the Breach, Jetpack Unicorn, and several other games.
